Hi I am the owner of Desert Finest Caring Companions. My business started fourteen years ago. I had the privilege of taking care of a wonderful lady who just recently passed away. Part of my job was to hire agencies to help assist me in taking care of her 24 hour care. As I reached out to different agencies for help, I noticed a few things I didn't care about the agencies I used. I didn’t like how much money was taken from these caregivers. I also didn't like how there was no communication from the company to their employees. The lady I took care of lived in a retirement home. A friend of mine told me to start my own company. I had been offered many jobs to care for others at this retirement home, which I had to turn down. I was occupied and dedicated to my Lady. I couldn't at the time, care for anyone else. I also had full staff around the clock I worked with. I spoke to many residents at the facility my lady lived at. They all liked my plan of running a company that works as a team. If a caregiver needs help, I will be there to assist them. As the owner of my company, I will take better care of my clients and my team. I also learned that clients can’t use insurance with independent caregivers only with companies.
