ALL ABOUT NANO NEEDLING
Looking to restore the brightness in your face and keep that skin glowing? With all the cosmetic treatments and products on the market these days, it is hard to know which one to turn to.
Nano needling and microneedling sound like the same treatment, as they both use skin needling to provide benefits to our appearance.
But what is the difference between the two?
I will walk you through the Nano needling process to help you decide if this is the correct treatment for your skincare concerns and what you should expect from this treatment.
What is Nano needling?
Nano Needling is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment used to heal imperfections and signs of aging on the skin’s surface. This gentle treatment is also referred to as nano infusion therapy, nano needling facial, or nano microneedling.
By using nanoneedles for penetration, they exfoliate the skin and cause skin cell turnover resulting in restored and brighter skin.
The treatment is relatively painless and does not require numbing cream or a topical anesthetic. The treatment is effective in treating surface-level skin issues like the appearance of fine lines, texture, and tone.
How It Works
As we age, dead skin cells accumulate under the skin resulting in a dull appearance. These skin cells are an insulator that prevents the penetration of nutrients into our skin’s pores. Nano Needling helps exfoliate this dead skin and makes skin smooth and healthier.
During treatment, I will use a nano pen to glide gently over the skin to create thousands of nanochannels with microscopic silicon needles. These Nano needles have pyramid-shaped tips and are thinner than human hair.
Creating micro-injuries triggers the body’s natural healing response and allows serums and nutrients to enter the skin barrier, while also releasing growth factors and thickening the skin.
Nano Needling Benefits
Since this treatment is considered gentle and non-invasive, it will require no downtime to recover. This means you can continue with your daily routine right after treatment. The main Nano needling benefit is the skin’s ability to absorb products such as nutrient-rich serums. Because of these abilities, it is great at treating the following conditions:
Aging Skin
Acne
Acne Scarring
Enlarged Pores
Fine Lines (around the lips and crow's feet around the eyes)
Pigmentation and sunspots
Skin tone and texture/
MICRONEEDLING
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a device with fine needles to create tiny punctures or "micro-injuries" in the skin's surface. These controlled injuries stimulate the skin's natural healing process, which promotes the production of collagen and elastin—two vital components that contribute to skin texture, tone, and firmness.
Benefits of Microneedling:
Improved Skin Texture: It can help with skin issues like acne scars, fine lines, and wrinkles by boosting collagen production.
Reduced Pore Size: The procedure can tighten skin and help shrink enlarged pores.
Enhanced Product Absorption: The tiny channels created allow for better absorption of skincare products.
Reduction of Stretch Marks: It may help in reducing the appearance of stretch marks.
Hyperpigmentation: Microneedling can help improve skin tone and lighten dark spots or areas of hyperpigmentation.
Hair Regrowth: Microneedling on the scalp has been used to stimulate hair follicles and promote hair growth in cases of hair thinning or alopecia.
How it Works:
Preparation: The skin is cleansed, and a topical numbing cream is applied to minimize discomfort.
Needling: A device with fine needles is used to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These injuries help trigger the body's healing response, leading to collagen and elastin production.
Aftercare: After the procedure, the skin may appear red and feel like a mild sunburn. Recovery typically takes 1-2 days, but the results improve over time as collagen is produced.
Potential Side Effects:
Redness and swelling: Similar to a mild sunburn.
Bleeding: Very light bleeding may occur if the needles penetrate deeply.
Infection: There's a risk of infection if the procedure isn't done in sterile conditions or proper aftercare isn't followed.
Hyperpigmentation: In rare cases, microneedling can cause pigmentation changes, particularly for those with darker skin tones.
How Often Should It Be Done?
The procedure can be done every 4-6 weeks, depending on the severity of the skin concerns. For you, treatments might be spaced out further, such as every 3-6 months.

Introduction to Facial Acupuncture
Facial acupuncture, a practice rooted in Ancient China, has been used as an anti-aging treatment since the B.C. era, particularly by Chinese royalty. Combining herbal medicine, creams, masks, and acupuncture techniques, this holistic method promotes beauty from within.
Each facial area corresponds to specific organs in the body, offering insights to personalize treatments. For example, dark circles under the eyes may signal kidney or adrenal gland issues, often associated with lack of sleep.
Our East-meets-West approach addresses both external and internal wellness, helping to:
Firm and tighten the skin
Improve facial complexion
Plump fine wrinkles
Enhance overall health, including better sleep, digestion, and stress reduction
